نخستین کابینه مشروطیت در این خانه تشکیل شد به این دلیل به این عمارت لقب خانه سیاسی تهران داده اند. همچنین این خانه محل زندگی و کار یکی از اصیل ترین دولت مردان قاجار و پهلوی، میرزا حسن خان مستوفی الممالک بوده است.    عمارت مستوفی الممالک در داخل حیاط این مجموعه که زمانی باغی سرسبز و آباد بوده ساخته شده. این عمارت دارای دو نمای شمالی و جنوبی است. سقف این خانه شیروانی و دارای یک خرپشته و دودکش آجری است. در این عمارت تالارهای زیادی وجود دارد که تالار آینه و پروانه از همه مشهورتر است.

 The House of Mostofi al-Mamalek is a Qajarian house dating back to the age of one hundred and twenty-five years old, which somehow represents the contemporary Iranian history. The first Constitutional Council was formed in this house, due to which the mansion was nicknamed the political home of Tehran. The house was also home to one of the most genuine men of Qajar and Pahlavi men, Mirza Hasan Khan Mostofi al-Mamalek. Mostofi al-Mamalek mansion was built inside the courtyard, once a lush green garden. This mansion has two north and south facades. The ceiling of this house is a veranda with a rust and chimney brick. There are many halls in this mansion, the hall of the mirror and butterfly is all the more famous.
